  Dr. Yichen Shen: Co-Founder, CEO   Yichen Shen is a co-founder and CEO of Lightelligence. He received his Ph.D. degree in Physics from MIT in 2016, where his research focused on nanophotonics and artificial intelligence. Through his Ph.D., Yichen has published more than 25 peer-reviewed journal papers and has filed 10 US patents, including first authored papers in  Science ,  Nature Photonics , and  ICML  (the top machine learning conference). In 2017, Yichen received Forbes 30 under 30 Global and MIT Technology Review 35 Innovators under 35 (TR35) China.

  Dr. Paul Xie: Co-Founder, VP of Product   Paul Xie is a co-founder and VP of Product at Lightelligence. He received his Ph.D. degree in Microsystems from RIT in 2012, where his research focused on optics and semiconductor process. Paul has worked at several semiconductor companies in Silicon Valley, including Applied Materials, GlobalFoundries, Samsung Electronics, and Apple. Paul has over 10 US patents and has published extensively in peer reviewed journals and conferences. Paul is also an MBA from Harvard Business School.

  Dr. Huaiyu Meng: Co-Founder, VP of Photonics   Huaiyu Meng is a co-founder and VP of Photonics at Lightelligence. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electric Engineering from MIT, where his research focused on integrated photonics in CMOS platform for telecom, datacom, and bio-sensing applications. Huaiyu got his Bachelor’s degree from Nanyang Technological University in Electric Engineering with first class honor.

Huaiyu Meng is a co-founder and VP of Photonics at Lightelligence. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electric Engineering from MIT, where his research focused on integrated photonics in CMOS platform for telecom, datacom, and bio-sensing applications. Huaiyu got his Bachelor’s degree from Nanyang Technological University in Electric Engineering with first class honor.

  Li Jing: Co-founder, Chief Algorithm Architect   Li is a co-founder and Chief Algorithm Architect at Lightelligence. He is currently a Physics Ph.D. at MIT. Li earned a B.S. in Physics and B.A in Economics from Peking University. He has published approximately 15 research papers in top machine learning conferences and scientific journals. He has collaborated with two of the fathers of machine learning, Yann LeCun and Yoshua Bengio. Li has also won the International Physics Olympiad gold medal.

Li Jing: Co-founder, Chief Algorithm Architect

Li is a co-founder and Chief Algorithm Architect at Lightelligence. He is currently a Physics Ph.D. at MIT. Li earned a B.S. in Physics and B.A in Economics from Peking University. He has published approximately 15 research papers in top machine learning conferences and scientific journals. He has collaborated with two of the fathers of machine learning, Yann LeCun and Yoshua Bengio. Li has also won the International Physics Olympiad gold medal.

  Maurice Steinman: VP of Engineering   Mo has enjoyed a career in the tech industry lasting more than three decades, working for such companies as Digital, Compaq, HP, Intel and most recently AMD, where he held the title of Sr. Fellow. A veteran of many successful tapeouts and product introductions, Mo has expertise in System on Chip (SoC) architecture, SoC interconnect, memory subsystems, and power management. Mo graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) with a BS in Computer & Systems Engineering and holds over 40 computer architecture patents.
